Nasal Strips for Snoring

If you are suffering from snoring, you are probably aware of all the snoring cures available these days. You will find some of the cures I recommend else ware on my site, but I have not really discussed Nasal Strips for Snoring as a possible cure for snoring.

Nasal Strips are probably one of the easiest things to use for your snoring, but, I must confess, I have never taken them very seriously. I mean it’s just like a band-aid over the bridge of your nose, I never understood how it could really work. But I had to take a closer look, with an open mind, and I was impressed.

There are a huge number of Nasal strip options available these days, and with this article I hope to highlight the best of them, and show you what your choices are.

What is a Nasal Strip and how does it work?

Before we can look at the choices available, what the heck is a nasal strip? says it like this: “A nasal strip, external nasal dilator strip or nasal dilator strip is a type of adhesive bandage with embedded plastic ribs or splints that is applied across the bridge of the nose and sides of the nostrils, to assist in keeping the airway open. They are believed to make breathing easier and for that reason are used by humans during athletic exertion and as an aid to reduce congestion or to prevent snoring.”Snoring Strip

You can experience a congestion when you have allergies, a cold or flu, or when your nasal passages becomes inflamed, and less air is able to pass through your nose. There can also be a congestion when your airways collapses because of abnormalities of the nose, which causes snoring.

Nasal strips are designed to open the nasal passages when this occurs.

Nasal strips work by gently opening nasal passages from the outside of your nose, which allows you to breath better through your nose.

Interesting fact: Professional sport stars have been using nasal strips for many years to increase performance on the field.

Who is it for?

Snoring strips are a cheaper alternative and are proven to reduce snoring for nasal snorers. This needs repeating, Nasal Strips are meant to alleviate nasal congestion, so they are only really effective for nasal snorers.

So, if you are a Tongue based or Mouth based snorer, this will not directly help with your snoring.

Snoring strips will not help to cure or alleviate sleep apnea.

They can of course be of great help when your nose is blocked because of allergies, or a cold or flu. You may even use them with your regular anti snoring device, to help to breath better while using the other device.

Snoring Strips might of been unknown to me a few weeks back, but not anymore.

I soon discovered that they can actually work wonders if you are a specific type of snorer. They are not effective if your snoring starts from inside your mouth, but can still help to breath better.

They work by opening the nasal passages, and can be a great alternative to nasal clips which have to be put inside your nose.

As for me; I am a mouth based snorer, so a Nasal Strip is not really suitable for my type of snoring as I mentioned above.

If you are a nasal type snorer, give them a go. Choose from the above choices, click the respective links above and you are well on your way.
